I Tried to Avoid The Money Economy
Ray Bub
But I couldn’t.
We wanted to serve our children ice cream.
Truthfully, have to be honest with you, not gonna lie;
We like ice cream too.
Would have had to
Acquire a cow (trade for?)
And ice cream-maker.
Insurance. That’s a big one.
Car; mortgage; coat.
Drill our own oil and gas?
47 years of heating with wood,
But a chain saw to cut and a pickup truck to haul.
Big propane-fired pottery kiln—
You’re gonna need clay, bricks, kiln shed,
A house attached to the shed to live in while trying to avoid
The Money Economy.
Plant a big garden
But buy seeds, rototiller,
shovel, rake, hoe.
So much to buy
On my way to avoiding
The Money Economy.
A nice idea
But ice cream.
